I heard some sad news today. My best friend's mother died today. Growing up she was like a second mother to me. She was under 5' tall but you didn't want to give her any back talk. She never had much of an easy time in life and in the end it was rather tough. She was loosing her mind and would talk of off the wall things and mix up peoples names and things that happened. Earlier this Fall she had a stroke and lost the ability to take care of herself. She had just been placed in the care center yesterday. Linc would mow her lawn and do odd jobs for her in the summer as well as help her sister. It's sad that she died but I feel that she had had enough of this life and was ready to move on. She managed to raise five kids and with permission of her husband go to the temple and after he died of brain cancer went on a mission.--I really have lost my writing mojo and am having a lot of difficulty getting my thoughts written.--
P.S. I have just been asked to talk at the funeral. My mojo had better get working by Tuesday!

I hear you on the writing mojo. I have things I want to say, but don't feel like sitting down to do it. 2007 is finishing the year off real sucky.
It really is a sad year!! We had a funeral in Wayne County today. Twenty year old kid, made some poor decisions, in and out of rehab and jail, was killed Saturday night. His friend also from Wayne county is in jail. I can only hope the younger brothers, friends and cousins of these 2 boys can be saved from this. My heart aches for the parents!
Amen, Pi-day Dave. I am looking forward to the year 2008. I am sorry to hear about your friend's mothers passing. I am guessing you are talking about RG mother.
What an honor to be asked to speak at her funeral. Send my love to Kitty, we were friends in grade school and on a lesser degree in high school.
It is sad when people die, but like you say she was probably way ready to move on. It has been a "sucky year" lets hope next year is better.
