H.P.7 and B.o.M.

I write this not to accuse anyone of anything. Most especially the 60+% of my family that is reading and rereading a certain book this weekend. I certainly have gotten involved in books and movies and TV series in my day and have eagerly awaited the next installment of a series. That being said, wouldn't it be fantastic if the scriptures were met with as much excitement as the seventh book in a very popular series? I'm under as much condemnation as the next guy as to not being as excited about the scriptures. I just find it interesting as to how much attention is paid to a fantasy book when WE should be that excited about the scriptures every day. I'm not saying that we should just sit around and read scriptures all day every day; that's impractical and not the intention. I just find it interesting to make the comparison. So how does it end?

The same thought crossed my mind. It is sad that we are not as excited about the scriptures as we are about HP. I am the prime example I suppose. I read for 12 hours yeterday and finished it at about midnight. Then I prepared my Sunday school lesson. Must be a failure to prioritoze correctly. It's just my luck one of the bishopric came to my class today. So it may be a comfort to know there was a just and immediate retribution.

I'm not familiar with him in the sense that I've had an intimate chat, but I know who he is. wWhy?

Who's Percy?

I am replying to sageheb about Percy. He is a character in Harry Potter I know who he is but I am not familiar with him. and I'm not sure what agedhen means.

Sorry, I was being snarky, in pointing out the similarity between Percy and other family members.
People generally are not comfortable with being called to repentance.

Sorry if I called you "agedhen", Pure typeo. I've learned from being in Holland that being called names in another language looses some of it's power if the recipient doesn't know the context. I was expecting some umbridge at this post so no harm done.

I am lost, someone please summarize what is hapening here. Percy means something I apparently don't get.

Aparently Percy is an overly down the line, follow the rules type guy in a rather popular book series. Ask Sagehen for sure.
