Some time this month Hol will have not chewed her fingers for six weeks. Her mom told her that she could get a cat if this happened. I would like another cat but they seem to live for such a long time. Hopefully we will get a better cat than the cartoon shows.

Actually, it looks about right.
We changed Ginger's name to Djin (as in Gini in a bottle) for a reason. There's this "cute" little thing she does, rolling over on her back looking all sweet and cuddly, so when you reach down to pet her she can rip your arm off.
Still, she's purdy and we love her.

I laughed out loud when I read that cats live too long. Indeed they do. A year is about right. I reveal too much about myself with that comment. All the commercials tout food that helps your pet live longer, you and I want the opposite. I wish those fish would die already! Maybe they could make a special food that slowly and painlessly euthanizes your pet when it becomes a pest. I hope no one from PETA reads this.
