Sick and Tired

The family has been sick, well much of the family anyway. G-man first, had the "skip-to-my-loo's" and really bad breath. Then Holl got it and through up and nearly fainted just walking down stairs to bed. Now it's my turn. I've had "rotten egg" burps for several days and I can't get too far from a bathroom; in fact last night I think I visited the reading room a total of six times between around 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM. I decided to call in sick today and see if I can't get over this. I figure that if I run out of ammunition I won't have to sit so much so I'm going to just try and stay hydrated and see if all this will just pass, so to speak.
Wife has gone to the mountain park today with her after school program. Yes, the after school program is going during school. The original idea was to go to palerock park for an overnight trip but the superintendent nixed that idea after Wife spent much time working out the details. Then it was going to be an all day trip to the mountain park with stops at JH to visit some museums and art galleries. The "professionals" didn't want to take the time necessary to visit the museums and galleries because it would take extra time and would interfere with their lives outside school, such as going to a football game. So after Wife made all the arrangements to the museums and art galleries (several times I may add) she was told that the "bonding with the kids" would consist of driving on a bus for several hours up and back with a boat trip across the lake and a short hike with some dutch oven cooking thrown in. I agree with Wyo Sis that if you want to be treated like professionals and paid like professionals that maybe you should act like professionals and not like spoiled little brats that will only do the bare minimum to get by. That is just my opinion and not that of my sweet hard working very pregnant wife.
We said good by to our Jimmy yesterday. The junk man came and got it yesterday much to the delight of our neighbours I'm sure. It has been in our driveway all summer and was nonfunctional due to a lack of battery and alternator that the van needed instead. The last time I drove Jimmy he could only make about 40 miles per hour and I didn't have the time or money to try and fix it. There may have only been a small problem with it but it could have been rather extensive as well and it wasn't worth the trouble. Now we are down to four cars, three of which work to some extent. Linc is pressuring me to get Oggie (a Veedub "thing") going so he can drive it to school when he is old enough to drive which will be in two months (learners anyway). I will need perhaps some help from Wyo bro-in-law and some of my own time and money to get it going again.
Wife is going to "the friendly ghost town" on a "mandatory" after school conference this thur. and fri.. Then next week we are driving across the state to the very same town for her schooling. You would think that they could maybe have them at the same time so she only has to go there once but NOOOOO. I think it is an awful lot to ask of an eight month pregnant woman to run around like this but she seems determined to carry on like nothing special is going on.

I hope all is well contained now. I had a long weekend of sichbess as well, mine was of the achy bones, raw throat, shaking and puking variety. I got a prescription for the sore throat. It is one of those horsepills 4 times a day for many more weeks than you are going to be feeling sick variety. Aparently the good old Z-pack is not insurance approved anymore.
I can't believe Tracey. She has to be one of the healthiest most energetic people I know. What a woman. You always said you didn't want a woman you would have to keep on a shelf. I think you got one. A's b-day is Sunday, we are thinking of a get together at about 6PM. Is that a good time for you?

We just got over the gamboo at our house. It was fun or pretty. Yesterday we had a county wide mock disaster drill, we practiced a shelter in place. Logs said that his school had a real one. Some idot brought a toy gun to the HS. the Jhs is right next door so they locked down the building for real, but didn't tell anyone until the end of the day. Ihop e that all is better at your house.

Hey Ray sorry to here about your crappy day, so to speak. We've been going through the croop, colds, bronchitis, tonsilitis, sort of thing here in Potatoe Land. I was just checking your blog at lunch time, which I do often but never a peep from me. Wife informs me we will never move back to Utah now she is living in her ideal location. Work is a lot better than the grunt and grind of production work. I wish I could have convinced her 4 years ago to move up here.
Take care,
One of the many Idaho Bro-in-laws.

Poor dogie, he looks a little forlorn. I have had a few achy bones days lately myself. Today is one (Thurs)
