Thursday night lights

Well #82 and the rest of the Freshmen won their first game tonight. It was 34-24 against Rich County, UT. Rich played their Sophomores too and they still only had sixteen players. I suppose they got worn down running up and down the field. The game was supposed to start at 6:00 but they were late because they had to drop off their Volleyball team in Montpelier then they got going to Kemmerer instead of SV. Grandma W. came to the game and left at halftime with the other kids and Wyo Sis had some sort of book club thing so I was the only one for the last half of the game routing on #82. He had some good chances at catching the ball but his best chance resulted in the opposing player hacking his arm and drawing a pass interference call for fifteen yards. Coincidentally that was about how far he was down the field. He didn't really do anything super spectacular but was a solid player and gave as good as he got. The next home game is Oct. 12, I think.

I want to kick myself around the room for missing the game. I was through reading by a little after six and had planned to go, but forgot. I'm glad they won.

Congrats all around! We play Rich!! They are in not in our region but we play pre-season games with them and of course at state in girls volleyball and all of the winter sports. We don't play them in football because we don't have a football team, we play BASEBALL in the fall. (Don't get me started, but there is something very wrong with a homecoming baseball game!)

I didn't mean to imply it was your fault. I had every opportunity to remember, but it didn't click. We did get the message, but too late to do any good and as for communication between my youngest and myself, it's a crapshoot at best. I am really just mad at myself, because I have the schedule now and should have watched better.
