reptile on a stick in the ground

An old farmer was walking down a fence line one day when he happened upon a turtle on a fence post. He wondered how this turtle got on to the post. One thing he did know was that the turtle didn't get on top of the post on his own. Many people have likened our new president to a turtle on a fence post and I think it is an apt metaphor. I hope and pray that he leads US in the right direction. I fear he will not but there is always hope for change.
I would like to thank our last president for all his hard work at keeping us safe. I didn't agree with him on some of the things he did (prescription drug payments, no child left behind, all the bailouts) but I think he was over all a good president and I am embarrassed at how he has been treated by the people he worked so hard to keep safe. They say history is written by the victors but in the end GWB will be seen as a better than average president.
P.S. Linc has Sophomore and JV games at 4:00 PM on both Friday and Saturday against the two teams from Kasper.

I agree that GWB was a wonderful president. I firmly believe that the war in Iraq is absolutely necessary for we need to do missionary work over there and it cannot happen until the people have obtain their freedom.

I too am embarrassed by the way GWB was treated. I scares me to think about our new president.

Just because something is popular doesn't make it right. It takes a great leader to do things that are unpopular with the masses but the right thing to do (How popular was the Savior?). The worst thing for a parent or a leader is to over-indulge people with what they crave or think the need or want. Few celebrities are worthy of leadership because they are too concerned with their image or self interests. Hopefully the new man will live up to his words and put the nations interests ahead of party politics and not become an Obama-nation.

I too liked GWB. He will go down as a better than average President. I did not like the No child left behind deal or the bailouts. I did agree with the war and still agree with it. We, as a nation have not been attacked on our soil since 9/11. This alone is what makes him a above average President.

GWB came home to Midland. He is so loved here. There were 30,000 people who turned out to welcome him home and to let them know he was loved all the way through.
