Just to catch up on what has been going on in my little corner of heaven. We had another good dose of snow (not near as much as others, I've been told) and then it wormed up some so the town went through and scrapped the streets of old ice and snow this made a rather nice jump at the neighbours that go away for the winter. You see our next door neighbours push their driveway across the road and onto thier neighbours lawn (the neighbour that goes away for the winter) this creates an eight foot tall ski slope for the neighbour kids to sled on. well when the town went by and scrapped the road it made a great little jump at the end and as you can see by the pictures G-man and Sparkey made full use of the situation.
Friday and Saturday Linc went to a tourniment at Evan's-town. We went to the game Friday (I took half a day off work) and they played "Rio Verde". They won rather decisively. The crowd gasped when Linc went up for a rebound/tip in and almost dunked it. He did rather well with at least six points and many assists, rebounds, blocks and so forth. I can tell that the Freshman team is not used to having him on the team (he has been bouncing around from Freshmen to Sophomore to Junior Varsity this year) because they pass to him at his knees and all the other kids try three pointers instead of trying to get it inside to him. Anyway Linc came back Saturday saying that they lost their next game and then played for third and lost by one point.
Holl went with her Beehive class (a church group for 12 to 14 year old girls) to a basketball game in Ogden (one of the girl's aunt was playing for Weber State) Saturday and had a great time with her friends.
G-man and Wife went to a chess tournement at the middle school and G-man won third place in the 9 to 12 year olds.
The M's and I just stayed home and watched cartoons except for going to the post office to get the trophies for the chess tournement that came almost too late.
I appoligize for all the spelling errors, I can't seem to get this thing to spell check for me any more.

Way to go Grant in your chess tournament Saturday! Way to go Linc playing basketball so well on the Freshman bball team at the tournament. Now you can bounce back to Sophomore and JV teams!
The fun sliding down the tall snowbanks by the road sounds like some of the good times sliding that my kids had on the Bateman farm years ago. It's sunny and in the 60's in Dixie-land=NICE.
My kids are very jelous of the snowhill. Congrats to Grant and the Chess tourny. We recently made Chess sets out of nuts and bolts for scouts.
Join the club on the spell check. I find that I either have to cut & paste into word then spell check, or sometimes if you post then go back and edit the post spell check works then. I find that I have to post the edit to add pics. It's a pain in the rear end.
My kids would have loved that snow hill. They loved to go sledding with their dad when the snow stayed around long enough during the winter. Yay, you go boy, Linc! Chess is a game of skills, I will have Uncle Forlorn play G someday.
