It's 1984. I guess the righteous held the statists off for 15 more years than Orwell thought.
That is why I stop watching the news. I get the weather and basic local stuff and change the channel.
I agree! It makes me too miserable if I try to be like everybody else! Going with my conscious and guts always work for me. The secret is allowing others to voice their opinions peacefully without taking offense.
