Track, Track, Track

Spring in SV!
Thursday and Friday Linc went to "Capital City" to a track meet and got home at 1:15 AM Saturday then at 6:00 AM Wife and Holl (along with 'Leenie and I) went to "lime-lemon" to a track meet there. The track meet in "Capital City" hosted teams from the surrounding states as well as many from our own. Linc competed in Junior Varsity in 110 m hurtles, long jump, high jump, and triple jump. He got 5th in 110m hurtles, 4th in long jump, tied for first in high jump, and got 4th in the triple jump. All in all he earned 24 points for SV.
Holl got 3rd in high jump, 5th in 200m hurtles, did not place in the 100m hurtles and basically just practiced the triple jump. "lime-lemon" is right by Fort Bridger and on the high plains on our state it was snowing at 5:30 AM and the track people called and said that they weren't sure if they were going to have the meet. At 7:00 AM they called and said it was on so off we went. If you have spent any time at all on the high plains of our fair state you know that it has a tendency to be a bit breezy at times. This was one of those times. I think the temperature was around 30 and the wind speed was about that same number.

Sounds like you've been running around about as much as linc has. We're supposed to get some of the white stuff in the next couple of days. The nice thing about it is that now when the crystalized vapor falls is doesn't stay around.

Brrrrr! Sounds and looks chilllly to me, from down here in warm Dixie. Glad to hear that Linc & Holl did so well on the high plains of Yoming. Maybe we'll see some of that white stuffffff tomorrow going over Donner Summit to the gold rush of Calif. me and wandering grandpa. Linnie must have needed to stay within walking distance of her food supply!
